How to clean the bathtub

Bathtubs capture dirt easily which makes them the perfect place for bacterial infections. To start, warm up the surface to help loosen any gunk or stains.

When you have the surface preheated, you can begin cleaning. Mix equal parts of white wine vinegar and water in a plastic spray bottle. After applying the solution, let it sit for 15 minutes and wipe it away with a clean cloth.

To get rid of the horrible smells and stubborn stains, sprinkle the bath with baking soda and spray on the cleaning solution. After leaving the paste for 15 minutes, wipe it away and rinse clean.

How to clean the bath drain

Cleaning a bathtub drain has to be one of the worst tasks on your chores list. No matter how careful you are about keeping your bath drain clean, soap and residue build-up slow down the drain over time.

For this reason, you should maintain it by using pouring boiling water and baking soda. Baking soda acts as a natural cleaner which causes dirt and grease to dissolve easily. Start by pouring boiling water down the drain. This will help for flushing out residue buildup and gunk that’s left over from bathing.

Next, pour a cup of baking soda and let it settle for 10 minutes. Once you are done, flush the drain with a pot of boiling water. Remove gunk and hair with pilers and use your fingers to pull the rest of out. Make sure your get rid of any excess debris, then rinse and wipe down the bathtub.


Cleaning your bath does not have to be a messy, dirty job if you spend a few minutes after each use rinsing and wiping away any soapy residue. You want to make sure that you bath is gleam white but not prone to be a home to several microorganisms. Therefore, after using the bath, take a few minutes to clear it out and wipe it dry.
