I am a Creative Media Production Teacher with an abundant amount of experience working with children and young people.
While working at a Primary School based in Hackney, East London, I had supported groups of children with their literacy and numeracy as well as reading and social skills. I had assisted with breaking down curricular based work to each child’s specific academic level with resources and supporting information to which they are able to understand. I was able to support children with all other aspects of classroom based work as well as supervising children in the playground and in the lunch hall. During my time working at a Performing Arts School in Tottenham, North London, I was able to support the manager in setting up all indoor activities as well as organise sports activities and games. I had helped the children to learn scripts, as well as teach song and dance for upcoming performances. I had provided special needs pupils with one to one support and assistance with activities, games, sports, performance preparation and their confidence. I was able to encourage pupils to meet their targets whilst being on their best behaviour. During my time childminding, I was able to pick up 3 children between the ages of 5 and 9 years from school, and taken them home (to either their parents house or grandmothers house). I would prepare a light snack for them; and look after them until their mother would arrive home later into the evening. I was able to help with homework duties as well as setting up activities for them to do, or supervise them while they played independently.
