Cleaning tools and supplies

1. Independent cleaners usually do not carry their own cleaning equipment. Customers are expected to provide:
   • A vacuum cleaner.
   • Mop or equivalent.
   • Broom or equivalent.
   • Cleaning cloths, scourers, dust wipes, kitchen paper, etc.


2. When requesting the cleaner to bring her/his own products.
   • For regular cleaning there is a fee of £1 per hour which is added to each cleaning session to cover the costs of the products.
   • For one-off cleaning there is a fee of £2 per hour which is added to each cleaning session to cover the costs of the products.
   • Products for oven cleaning are always charged £5.
   • For regular cleaning sessions, the cleaner might decide to leave the products at the customer's home for convenience.


3. Unless customers have requested the cleaner to bring their own cleaning products, they are expected to provide with:
   • Surface cleaner.
   • Limescale remover.
   • Floor cleaner.
   • Window cleaner.
   • Specific product for sensitive surfaces at home (e.g wood).
   • Washing powder.

Suggested hours for the service requested

1. Regular cleaning represents a standard cleaning service which includes the following:
   • Agreed ‘standard cleaning’ service
     • Bedrooms / Common Areas
     • Dust all reachable areas
     • Wipe down all touchable surfaces
     • Wash mirrors & glass fixtures
     • Vacuum & mop all floors
     • Empty bins
   • Bathrooms
     • Wash & wipe down toilet & basin
     • Wash & sanitize bath/shower & sink
     • Wash mirrors & glass fixtures
     • Dust all reachable areas
     • Vacuum & mop all floors
     • Empty bins
   • Kitchen
     • Wash kitchen sink, drain, & dirty dishes
     • Wipe down exterior of shelves, cupboards, drawers & appliances
     • Wipe down inside & outside of microwave
     • Dust all reachable areas
     • Vacuum & mop all floors
     • Empty bins


2. One-off cleaning consists as the same service as regular cleaning. The cleaning session will take longer because the home is not cleaned by that cleaner on a regular basis


3. Ironing
   • 30 minutes of ironing is the equivalent of ironing 5 shirts.
   • Please, add more time if you need your cleaner to do more than that.


4. Laundry
   • Cleaners can usually manage one load of laundry during regular cleaning.
   • If you expect larger amounts of laundry to be done, please add additional time to the suggested hours.


5. Oven cleaning
   • If oven cleaning is requested the cleaner will make sure that the oven is in fine conditions after each visit.
   • Customers is responsible for the special cleaning products required, unless they explicitly request the cleaner to bring the cleaning products.


6. Window cleaning
   • Cleaners will only clean windows with easy access.


7. Fridge cleaning
   • If fridge cleaning is requested the cleaner will make sure that the fridge is in fine conditions after each visit.
   • Customers should consider adding more time if their fridge needs special attention.
